It’s a wrap! Part 2

We started looking seriously for the land in December of 2021. Made multiple trips up to Arkansas. We purchased Needle Eye Mountain in May, house plans were drawn in July, and we moved up to Arkansas and broke ground on the build in August of 2022. The first phase of dirt work got us a flat pad and an amazing retaining wall built from the unearthed rocks.

The foundation was poured October and we were off to the races.

It’s been a labor of love! So what’s next you ask? Landscaping!! But I’ll have to wait till the spring to get that done. For now it’s time for a well deserved rest and spending time with each other, our family, and friends

So the big question have we tamed Needle Eye Mountain? I’d say about 5 acres of it …. But that’s all we need. The beauty of the land and it’s ruggedness is worth leaving as Mother Nature intended. It’s newest inhabitants (us) have come to appreciate this place just as it is.

May many a happy memory be made in the days ahead. May we have many visits from friends and family, may the hunting be good to Scott, May the sunsets be good to Jenny and may the bears stay on the back side of the mountain!
