When you pull up the driveway to Needle Eye Mountain, the first thing you see is this root cellar. Scott loves it! He said his family had one on their Iowa farm and they kept canned vegetables in it.

Me? I’m not sure I love it. Actually, I’m not sure I can work up the nerve to even walk in it. It looks like the makings of a horror film to me.

This place is just plain creepy. It required the ole snake boots and an inner “you can do this” coaching session just to venture inside. As you may remember from the post about the old house, we know there are snakes in these parts. All I could think is what a great home it would be. Would you have walked in that green stuff??? Not me said the little red hen…

Fortunately, once I braved my way in there, nothing was slithering, but I did find this stash of mason jars.

They were all empty now, but what do you think they had in the mason jars?
