There is tin on the ole rat shed..…and the chickens approve!

Soooo…. you know that the rat shed has been full of mysteries, “treasures”, surprises, cool finds and of course poop…. But I’m thrilled to report that it has finally gotten its shed glow up!

Just so you remember. Here is what we started with last August when we bought Needle Eye Mountain.

The front
The side
The inside

Over the year we have slowly spruced up, taken many trips to the dumpster and dump, scooped poop, “fought” off rats, HUGE spiders, wasps and hornets, screamed (well I have at least… can’t speak for the rats) and finally gave the old shed a new lease on life. Scott worked his tail off and I am so proud of him. Here’s the progress ..

Stripping down the rotted wood, new side wall.
You should have seen the stuff that fell out of the ceiling!!
Patching and prepping
Note, the chicken was there to cheer him on..
Cutting and installing tin
Working until late in the evenings
Scott got help from the chicken and a bit of inspection..

Drum roll please…. The final product..

And the chicken stamp of approval…

Approved!
