Happy Easter from Needle Eye

Nothing like adding a few new birds to the coop for Easter! We welcomed 4 black lavender split Orpington chicks to Needle Eye Mountain this weekend.

They are just old enough to be outside in a coop

Scott built a pen to keep them safe from the big girls until they are ready to mingle. They are still pretty small so not sure of sex but we think (and hoping for) 3 hens and a rooster!

They aren’t the cutest birds I’ve seen right now… but check out what they grow in to!

I just love the coloring!

Meanwhile the other hens were like… whoa… who dat?!

Who are these birds in the coop?
