Taming Needle Eye Mountain

Did we just buy a mountain? Join my husband and me on our adventure to tame a mountain and build our forever home.

We’re in!

I was beginning to wonder if Needle Eye was going to tame us or vice versa.. but throughout the week it all slowly came together.

Electric ✔️

Water ✔️

Heat and Air ✔️

Garage door✔️

Internet ✔️

Thank you Jesus! All the contractors made it and we were able to move out of the rental and into the shed-do-minimum. We have boxes and stuff everywhere but it’s our stuff! We painted all weekend. Put together a Wayfair bed which required a bit of “what does this mean.. where does this part go.. wait why do we have this left over…” but two master degreed adults finally got it done. We even had 5 deer come to the side of the shed to welcome us to Needle Eye. Pizza for dinner and early to bed.

    You said “Moving is for the birds.” What kind of birds does that make you two? Moving to rural Arkansas, first into a rental, then into an unfinished shed? Cuckoo birds. That’s the only answer, right?
