Did we really buy an actual mountain?

Fun fact. According to the American Geological Institute, a mountain is defined as a land feature that is at least 1,000 feet higher than its surroundings. Our Needle Eye Mountain is 2,031 feet higher than its surroundings in the The Ozark Mountain Range.

And we bought the whole thing. Front, back. Top to bottom. About 188 acres.

The reason it’s called Needle Eye is because at the summit there is a hole in the rock formation that resembles the eye of a needle. They say it was a landmark for Native Americans who lived in the area. Y’all it is beautiful!

So what does one do when one buys a mountain? Well …. climb it. Check out the view from the eye of the needle.
